MAESTRY & PROGRESS
Keit of Kirth was winning the Chuco-riding race. Only the big leap was left and a final straight. He increased the speed to jump over the cannon with his chuco and prepared for the jump. In midair, he did something weird, he stood up on his saddle and jump, spreading his legs in an acrobatic move. When the Chuco touch the ground, they lost balance and felt, breaking their legs. The race was lost.

OUR BEM FRAMEWORK
BEM works under the concept of how good game designers study human psychology to create applied solutions that improve experience and learning, in order not to depend on extrinsic rewards but on a deep understanding of intrinsic motivation. BEM consultants learn about human development, behavioral science, neuropsychology, semiotics, semantics, info engineering, and systems design with an emphasis on game design to learn how to create solutions to real problems.
BEM is a motivation-first framework, based on intrinsic drives and white hat mechanics, based on our 7 core drivers.
The BEM paradigm works around creating feedback rules and loops, which are more powerful than extrinsic rewards.
Our framework includes the client through architecture workshops that allow aligning expectations and objectives.
Our work includes going from scratch into a fully functional gamification implementation if needed.
Our framework has an academic background, based on scientific literature and tuned with every implementation.
BEM is the unified work of a Game Designer and a PhD in Human Development.
BEM is a meaningful gamification framework, that goes beyond nudging behaviors, to create meaningful learning cycles.
Our digital projects us Playngage, a RestfulAPI engine developed by us to manage game states, notifications, websockets, delayed jobs and analytics.
BEM Gamification: improving research
We've recently created a research group on Gamification, not only to improve our framework, but also to understand the state of the art of academic research on the topic.
